The High Beams That Watch Out for You
High beams are essential, but they're also blinding. Fortunately, the Ford Edge's high beams turn on or dim to low beams automatically. At speeds above 25 miles, the beams detect ambient external light levels or nearby motorists, toggling between high and low beams safely and efficiently.
Detecting Collisions Up Ahead
The Ford Edge gives you audible and visual messages when its specially mounted cameras detect a possible front-end collision up ahead. If you don't have time to decelerate and brake, the Ford Edge pre-charges its brakes, enhances brake-assist or activates full automatic emergency braking. Pre-Collision Assist and AEB function in both daylight and at nighttime.
