Things you need to jump-start any car, jumper cables, gloves, wire brush, safety glasses. Once the vehicles are touching nose-to-nose, turn off the engine and be sure the car lights are off. Open the hoop, put on your glasses and gloves, and use the wire brush if any corrosion is present on the terminals of the battery.

Now you'll need to unroll the jumper cables and begin by putting one red cable to the good battery positive terminal, the other red to positive on the bad battery. Next, black to negative on the good battery, then take the last black cable and attach it to a metal section of the car that needs a jump. Now you're good to start the car, then wait a few minutes, and crank over the other car.

Bring your vehicle to Valley Isle Motors Ltd, and we'll get a mechanic to check the health of the battery, so you don't have to get it jump-started again.
